Alchemie: Revolutionizing STEM Education and Accessibility with AI Technology
Project Overview
Alchemie's AI-powered solutions aim to revolutionize education by converting static content into interactive experiences, seamlessly connecting the visual language of diagrams with the natural language of AI systems. The challenge at hand was to elevate awareness of Alchemie within targeted media segments spanning education, technology, and business.
Challenge
Recognizing the pressing need for STEM-focused educational tools that transcend barriers, especially for screen reader users and low-vision students, Alchemie set out to address the shortcomings of traditional learning methods. Many learners were being left behind due to a lack of inclusivity in educational resources. Alchemie's AI-powered solutions aim to revolutionize education by converting static content into interactive experiences, seamlessly connecting the visual language of diagrams with the natural language of AI systems. This approach caters to the diverse needs of higher education students, particularly screen reader users and low-vision learners. Alchemie empowers these individuals to actively engage, learn at their own pace, and receive real-time feedback. The company's process-oriented learning, fueled by AI tools, effectively bridges the gap between accessibility and innovation, fostering inclusivity in STEM education.
The challenge at hand was to elevate awareness of Alchemie within targeted media segments spanning education, technology, and business. Co-founders Julia Winter and Joe Engalan took the forefront as primary spokespeople, sharing their collective 50+ years of experience as educators that led to the creation of Alchemie.
Approach
Ditto executed a strategic media plan highlighting Alchemie's mission to develop tools specifically for blind and low-vision students in STEM fields. By pinpointing specific journalists within top-tier and EdTech publications, the emphasis was placed on showcasing the pivotal role AI technology plays in advancing educational inclusivity. The narrative focused on how Alchemie's innovative AI solutions are reshaping the landscape of learning and upskilling for all.
Result
Targeted outreach to reporters that resulted in coverage from Forbes, Crain’s Detroit and an interview with Inside Higher Ed, reaching more than 70M users. We also received interest from NVIDIA’s AI podcast and the Ed Up Ed Tech podcast to secure episode interviews for Q1 2024.
Ditto conducted an audit and developed a social strategy to increase awareness for Alchemie’s owned channels. We officially started posting in October 2023 on both X and LinkedIn.
