What is a Values-First Approach to Conscious Work?

Introduction

A PR firm should only be as good as its culture. Culture attracts talent, fosters creativity, unites people, and endures during challenging times. There is no community without culture.

Culture is more than words on a website. Culture is a standard of beliefs and expectations of “how we do things around here.” But a culture defined by—and dependent on—values is only as strong as the people who believe in it and hold themselves and others accountable to maintain it on a daily basis.

Because a values-based culture means there’s right and wrong. And a community that embodies these values and believes in them will be more inclined to make decisions that are best for the company, themselves, and others.

But in the PR industry, there has to be a moment of change. Where employees say “Enough!” and companies totally change how they treat their employees. It’s why we established Conscious Change.

We believe at Ditto that change in PR is possible. And that is our North Star: A totally new and better way for PR firms to behave.
