Project Overview
Worldcoin is the digital ecosystem giving humans access to the world of digital technology, personhood and utility, through proof of personhood. In June 2022, Worldcoin was a presenting sponsor of ETH.NYC, an in-person hackathon following NFT.NYC bringing together some of the top minds and experts in Ethereum. Worldcoin relied on Ditto to execute two events during the conference.
Approach
Ditto was tasked with ideating and executing on two events: a multi-day coworking space as well as a panel discussion during their developer meetup. Worldcoin Cafe was established to serve as a space where their team, developers and community members could unwind, take meetings and onboard new users.
Ditto developed a strategy and hosted the event with multiple members of the team to check in attendees, capture content and provide knowledgeable support on the ground. Providing a range of options with different budgets, Ditto sourced and negotiated contracts for vendors and venues that fit the client’s criteria.
The team coordinated signage and visual assets, giveaways and merchandise ahead of the event, as well as staged the venue to ensure brand continuity. Ditto suggested social media copy for the client that drove attendance for the developer meetup and following happy hour and provided feedback on updating their event invite with relevant information.
Result
More than 100 people visited the Worldcoin Cafe over the course of two days. Following the daytime co-working space, Ditto hosted a well-attended developer meetup and panel featuring C-suite executives from Worldcoin, Lens, and Ceramic & Spruce during a discussion on the future of web3 decentralized identity and proof of personhood.
Client and attendee sentiment was overwhelmingly positive, with an attendance count that surpassed their goals. Based on the success of the event, the client established that they would host similar events during additional conferences and meetups.
