Challenge
In Q4 2023, blockchain interoperability protocol Wormhole tapped Ditto PR to announce its funding round, bringing the company’s valuation to $2.5 billion in one of the largest startup raises of the year. The challenge for Ditto was to articulate Wormhole’s competitive advantages and trajectory, while reaching an audience spanning crypto, business and finance – generating positive sentiment for Wormhole heading into 2024.

Approach
Ditto worked with Wormhole to highlight its key advantages, including an innovative approach to decentralized, open-source interoperability. We developed a media and content strategy that would position Wormhole as the indisputable leader in cross-chain messaging.
Ditto leveraged its deep experience in media relations across crypto, business, and finance, including several past “unicorn” funding announcements, to employ an embargoed outreach strategy to reach key journalists on behalf of Wormhole. We secured an interview with Fortune along with coverage by Bloomberg, Crunchbase News, CoinDesk, and several other targets.
In addition to media outreach, Ditto worked with Wormhole Foundation’s Robinson Burkey to draft and place a byline on decentralized operability for Blockworks, further reinforcing its positive positioning in the market.
