See Case StudySFOX is a cryptocurrency prime dealer for large-scale investors, such as funds, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. The company wanted to make a big splash in financial media with a new partnership with M.Y. Safra Bank to provide FDIC-backed segregated accounts — a first among crypto prime dealers/brokers. Ditto needed to effectively communicate the niche value of the partnership and blend finance and crypto messaging in order to resonate with both institutional (crypto hedge funds, family offices, etc.) and retail (day-traders) stakeholders. The biggest challenge was to execute this during New York Blockchain Week — the biggest and noisiest industry event of the year.
Ditto conducted outreach to a variety of media across finance and crypto, positioning SFOX as having real, industry-moving news during NY Blockchain Week, while most other projects had only hand-waving and marketing lingo to share. Ditto positioned SFOX as a pioneer in bridging the gap between traditional financial services and the brave new world of digital assets.
Ditto worked closely with M.Y. Safra Bank and SFOX to develop a press release and messaging roadmap that would resonate with media, institutional investors, crypto day-traders and other key SFOX stakeholders. The team then devised a “dual exclusive” media relations strategy with Bloomberg News and TV, allowing SFOX to capture significant market share across Bloomberg channels. After the exclusives ran, Ditto shared bespoke pitches to financial and investor trades, business press, crypto top-tier and crypto influencer media on Twitter.
“Trey and his team are smart and scrappy. That coupled with their understanding of the finance and investment aspects of crypto have made them a great partner for over two years.”
